* The 'sky ring' was formed when an RAF pilot from a local airbase flew a complete circle (apparently unknowingly) while also leaving a vapour trail, fortuitously doing so on the occasion of a magnificent spring sunset in 2004. Photo taken from Low Common, Ashby St Mary.
